Executive Director for an Assisted Living Senior Living Community

Job Summary:

• The Executive Director is responsible for the overall operation of the Retirement Community.
• Responsible for strategic planning, goal setting, financial activities and reporting.
• Provide leadership in developing and implementing systems for providing comprehensive services and care to residents.
• Ensure accountability and good working relationships among the staff.
• Ensure compliance of programs and facilities with regulatory agencies.
• Support Sales and Marketing team in meeting census needs.

Job Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to work with seniors in a long-term care environment.
• Three to five years prior work experience with geriatric residents in an Executive Director or General Manager role.
• Minimum of 2 years of college, bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current administrator’s certificate (CA).
• In-depth knowledge of budgets; creating, managing and compliance.
• In-depth knowledge and ability to meet state regulations, health laws, etc.
• Strong management and supervising experience, including hiring, training and coaching and counseling.
• Strong ability to organize, plan, coordinate and execute the operations of the community including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership, and coaching techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to actively foster and cultivate a team.
• Must be able to exhibit strong business judgment and have strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
