Health Information Management Director

Job Summary:

• Oversight of the HIM Department, including HIM, CDI and Coding.
• Responsible for health records, coding, abstracting, ROI, tumor registry and computer applications.
• Train and supervise all HIM employees and coordinates education for hospital staff.

Job Requirements:

• The candidate must be a polished professional with a history of working in an acute care hospital system.
• Minimum of 10 years experience, with 5 - 7 years in a management position in the HIM field.
• Must have a Bachelor's Degree, RHIA or RHIT.
• CCS Certification required.
• Epic system knowledge very much preferred.
• Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of contemporary health information practices in a healthcare setting.
• Thorough knowledge of all state, federal and regulatory agency standards, laws, rules and regulations with application to health information management.
• Proven ability to interact with and lead a strong team.
